Mini ski holiday to the Austrian Alps 🇦🇹
Ok you haven’t come right out and said but a you didn’t have to! Nearly everyone who’s taken our trip so far or is planning to, says they plan to ski 3or 4 days. So I end up curating a shorter trip for you because really, the 7 to 8 day ski itinerary only makes sense for those wanting to ski 5 to 6 days with a couple break days in between. While I can’t relate I can understand…Italy is just right there. You want to see it to! So noted😉. Here’s a break down of a shortened itinerary for those of looking for a shorter ski holiday to the Innsbruck area!
Day 1 Stubai- Get your passes here and rent skis at the intersport. Plan to spend 2 days at Stubai either day 1 and 2 or start and end here. It’s grand and a lot of fun!
Day 2/3 Schlick 2000- this is in my top 2 resorts of the 12 we’ve skied in the area. The Panoramic restaurant is fantastic and the views are something to behold❤️. It’s also very family friendly with a mix of something for everyone.
Day 4 Serlesbahnen- Its fun and enjoyable but the resort is full of t bars and if you are riding one with a little, they aren’t for the faint of heart (either that or I’m just t bars challenged).
Honestly I would just go back to Schlick or spend the last day back at Stubai since you’ll be returning your skis there anyway.
⛷️Ski school- if you plan to sign yourselves or your kids up for ski school, Stubai is renowned for their ski school, however we’re also partial to Schlick 2000. The facility is smaller but we signed our youngest up here and really loved it!
🛷 Sledding-You’ve got the longest toboggan run in all of Tyrol at the Elferbahnen ski resort. They offer night sledding Wednesday and Fridays which is great because it won’t cut into your ski time🙌🏼
👧 Day care- If you need a break or your child needs a bit of time off, Stubai has a great child care facility. It’s open to children as young as 3

💦Other activities-STUBAY pool is close to Schlick 2000 and a great option for evening activities for the family.
